Mrs Tilly’s, a large-scale commercial property approached the solar installers at Low Energy Services with a clear goal: to reduce their operational energy costs and become more environmentally responsible. Following a detailed site survey and energy usage analysis by our in-house team, we proposed a rooftop-mounted solar photovoltaic system using JA Solar 440W panels — a high-efficiency option known for their reliability and performance.

The east-west orientation was chosen specifically for its ability to maximise solar exposure throughout the day, ensuring consistent energy generation from morning through evening.

To support this configuration, we used the Renusol Mounting System, selected for its versatility, durability, and suitability for flat or low-pitched commercial rooftops. The system’s lightweight design also ensures minimal structural impact, making it an ideal choice for retrofit installations.

All components were sourced from Glasgow Greentech, ensuring a reliable, UK-based supply chain with a focus on quality.

The SolarEdge 90kW Synergy Inverter was a vital component in this installation. Known for its advanced monitoring and safety features, it provides superior system visibility and performance optimisation. Each panel’s output is tracked individually, allowing the client to monitor performance in real-time and quickly identify any potential issues. The modular design of the inverter also ensures easier maintenance and scalability in the future.
