Solar install for farm in Brechin

Our solar installers recently completed a successful Solar PV installation at an agricultural site in Brechin, Scotland. The new solar panel system is a great example of the variation of solar installs that we can provide customers in business sectors ranging from commercial and industrial to agricultural. The installation features a 33 kWp PV system consisting of 75 Longi Solar 440W panels, Rensuol VS+ mounting system, and a 30 kW Solis inverter, all sourced from reputable suppliers, CCL Components and Glasgow Greentech.

The solar panels were installed on the agricultural shed roof of the farm. The farm shed’s roof is made of fragile fibre cement sheets, a common material in agricultural structures. To ensure the safety and integrity of the installation process, we implemented the following measures:

Safety Netting: Installed under the roof sheets to prevent any falls during installation.
Scaffold Platform: Provided by our long-term scaffold contractor, offering a safe working platform for our installation team.

The installation was completed within a week by our in-house solar installers, demonstrating efficiency, expertise and quality. Trade marks that we have built the Low Energy Services name on.

Before any work could commence, we had to complete Pre-Installation Planning. This included detailed assessment of the roof structure and safety planning. While we were installing solar panels to the farm room, we ensured that all safety measures were followed including the installation of safety netting and scaffolding. while the solar panels were secured using to the Rensuol VS+ mounting system using hanger bolts.

The new solar panel install will significantly reduce the farms energy costs through the generation of renewable energy. While the reduced energy bills will be welcomed, the new solar panel system also contributes to environmental sustainability by reducing carbon footprint.
