Expanding our abilities with Certified Drone Operators

We are excited to announce that two members of our contract team have recently completed a comprehensive three-day training course with Professional Drone Training Scotland.

The training, conducted by Professional Drone Training Ltd, has equipped our team with advanced skills and knowledge in drone operations. Both team members successfully completed the course and are now Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) certified, holding both the General Visual Line of Sight Certificate (GVC) and the A2 Certificate of Competency (A2 CofC).

With these new certifications, our team is now fully qualified to operate both our DJI Mini drone and our latest addition, the DJI 3 Enterprise drone, which comes with advanced infrared capabilities. These state-of-the-art drones will play a crucial role in enhancing our green energy services, particularly in conducting surveys prior to solar installations. They will also aid us in the design process for our solar installers, recording images post-installation, and performing annual inspections as part of our comprehensive solar maintenance program.

Additionally, the infrared capabilities of the DJI 3 Enterprise drone provide us with the ability to identify hot spots in cabling and panels, which are critical in ensuring the safety and performance of our installations. Quality is and always will be front and centre with our solar installations and being able to offer an extra layer of safety and performance checks ensures that our solar installs will be of the highest quality.
