Two Separate Solar PV Units
Each Solar PV system was custom-designed to match the specific energy profiles of the two units, ensuring that the energy generation was closely aligned with consumption patterns. This tailored approach maximises the return on investment for the business by optimising energy production and reducing reliance on grid electricity. Because of this bespoke requirement of two incoming supplies, the project required careful management to ensure that each solar PV system was correctly integrated with the respective supply, maintaining efficiency and reliability across both units.
Solar PV System Specifications
The solar panels installed were DMEG 445W solar panels which were selected for their high efficiency and robust performance, ensuring optimal energy production even in variable weather conditions typically found in Scotland.
Solis inverters were used because, having used them for many solar panel installations over the years, they are reliable, simple to integrate with the solar panels and have a proven track record in managing energy conversion with high efficiency. Solis inverters are known for their user-friendly interface and remote monitoring capabilities, which means that the business can easily monitor ongoing performance and system management.
The DMEG Solar Panels were fitted to Renusol mounting systems, offering a durable and adaptable solution that aligns with the structural requirements of the two business units in Livingston. Renusol’s systems are designed to withstand harsh weather conditions, providing a stable base that extends the lifespan of the PV installation.
