Chryston Community Hub

The Chryston Community Hub offers children and residents of Chryston with the benefit of a 21st Century learning environment that has been made even better thank to the newly installed solar panels that we have fitted to the facility.

The new build centre in North Lanarkshire replaces the existing Chryston Primary School and provides a new community health clinic on the former site.

As part of the plans for the new development, solar panels were a key focus to help reduce their carbon footprint and significantly lower their energy bills.

Our Solar Installation

The Low Energy Solar Panel Installers fitted a total of 80 Canadian 405w solar panels to create a 32.4kwp system that was mounted onto a Renusol mounting system with Kalzip Brackets.

The system is connected to a 30kwp Solis Inverter that will help the Community Hub to run on green energy for years to come.

Special thank to Glasgow Greentech for the System Supply.

While this is a new build, the addition of solar panels to the facilities will save them around 29,000kwh per year.  A great financial saving for the facility whilst also helping to lower the demand on the national grid and the fossil fuels required to generate so much of their energy.

The benefits of Solar Power

Whether for a  Community Hall, a Commercial Premises or a Domestic home, more and more people in Scotland are turning to solar panels and green energy than ever before as a real way of controlling their energy expenses.

The volatile nature of the energy market has put a strain on many in Scotland and while there are a variety of ways that we can reduce our energy consumption, switching to solar panels is one of the leading options and has substantial benefits that will allow you to control your energy expenses and help to turn the solar panels into a revenue stream.

You may think that being based in Scotland means that solar panels won’t work. But with the latest in solar panel technology, as long as there is daylight, solar energy can be captured and used. Scotland has anywhere between 1000 and 1500 hours of sunshine per year depending on where you are.  And those are all hours that can be used to generate energy collected from the sun.

Finance Options for Solar Panel Installations

For some, the initial cost of solar panels can put them off. There is however another option. Solar PPA. We provide Solar PV Power Purchase Agreements for businesses that want the benefits of solar power but may not have the financial capital available to afford the installation of a solar panel system.

Your business can take advantage of green energy immediately with a Solar Power Purchase Agreement so that you don’t have to invest in the initial cost of purchasing or fitting solar pv systems. Instead, you can commit, through a PPA, to buying discounted electricity directly from us and the solar panels we install at your commercial property at an agreed upon rate for a fixed length of time. We take care of the rest.

What is a PPA?

A PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) is a financial agreement which allows companies like yours to purchase solar energy generated electricity from companies like us with NO UPFRONT COSTS.

This allows your business to take advantage of solar energy without having to invest in the initial purchasing and installation costs. It also means that you do not have to worry about the maintenance of the solar panel system as we take care of that as well.
