Based in Anstruther, Fife, they are pioneers of water milled aluminium pigment that is 100% free of harmful hydrocarbon residue. With their unique, environmentally friendly solutions, it is only natural that they would embrace solar energy to help make their business even more environmentally friendly with the installation of solar panels.

They already had solar panels fitted on the industrial building as part of a ‘Phase 1’ installation and our solar installation team were tasked with completing Phase 3 of this solar installation project for Metaflake.

This latest phase involved installing solar panels on two North East facing roofs, complementing the original solar installation work completed in Phase 1 on the South West facing roofs. The project aimed to enhance energy generation efficiency and sustainability for the business while showcasing Metaflake’s commitment to cutting-edge renewable energy solutions.

Solar Installation Process

The entire solar installation process was completed in under a week which included the issuance of the handover pack and ensuring the client was seamlessly integrated into all systems.

Despite being North East facing, the newly installed solar panels demonstrated impressive energy generation capabilities comparable to the South facing arrays installed previously in Phase 1.

Even though the Phase 3 solar installation has the same number of panels as the South facing arrays, the newer models installed in Phase 3 have boasted higher efficiency and output. This is thanks to the constantly advancing technology used in solar panels.

This all means that the newly fitted solar installations are now significantly helping to increase the businesses green energy requirements and helping the business to lower their energy costs.

The new solar panel system boasts an impressive 45.84kWP using DMEG 445w solar panels. The entire solar panel system is mounted to a Renusol MS+ mounting system and connected to a Solis Inverter.
